POSITION OVERVIEW: Marketing Coordinator:
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in amplifying the clinic’s mission to provide inclusive, affirming healthcare for LGBTQ+ communities. This position is responsible for managing the clinic’s social media presence, creating engaging digital content, monitoring online communications, and providing responsive, compassionate patient support through digital channels. Additionally, this role requires attending major outreach and community events to capture content, engage the community, and highlight the clinic’s presence on digital platforms. This role ensures that messaging reflects the clinic’s values of equity, dignity, and culturally responsive care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in social media, digital communications, or community engagement.
Experience managing social media platforms for an organization, brand, or nonprofit including content creation, scheduling, and analytics reporting.
Strong understanding of LGBTQ+ communities, health equity issues, and culturally competent communication.
Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and platforms.
Experience creating visual content (graphics, short-form video, or multimedia) using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks, and adapt to shifting needs in a fast-paced environment.
Experience responding to community or patient inquiries through digital channels with professionalism and empathy.
Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools, such as Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.).
Experience using digital content creation tools, including graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut), and familiarity with AI-assisted tools for content creation or copywriting (e.g., ChatGPT).
Knowledge of HIPAA-compliant communication practices or willingness to be trained.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, respect, and patient-centered service and ethical professional standards.
Basic familiarity with social media analytics tools and ability to generate actionable insights from performance data.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a healthcare, nonprofit, or community health setting, with an understanding of patient engagement and community outreach.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including clinical, outreach, and Marketing staff.
Proficiency in graphic design and/or video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut) with a portfolio of content for social media or digital campaigns.
Bilingual (Spanish) or multilingual abilities to support inclusive communication and outreach to diverse communities.
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, digital security practices, and safe handling of patient or community information. Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, Google Analytics) to track performance and optimize campaigns.
Knowledge of social media trends, accessibility standards, and inclusive digital content best practices.
Comfort with virtual engagement tools (Zoom, Teams, or other webinar/event platforms) for digital outreach or community events.
Experience or interest in LGBTQ+ health promotion, advocacy, or culturally responsive programming.

- Create visually compelling graphics and short-form videos that educate, inform, and advocate for LGBTQ+ health.
- Collaborate with clinical and community teams to highlight events, services, health topics, patient stories (with permission), and clinic updates.
- Monitor trends in LGBTQ+ health, community issues, and healthcare communication to ensure relevant and timely content.

- Support campaign execution and promotional efforts for outreach initiatives, virtual events, and health education programs.
- Ensure all content adheres to Spectrum Medical’s brand guidelines, social media policy, and content approval workflows.
- Monitor and respond to inbound messages and inquiries received via social media platforms and designated digital channels with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy.
- Serve as a first-touch digital liaison by providing general information about services, resources, and next steps without offering medical advice or clinical guidance.
- Guide community members to appropriate internal teams, tools, or resources (e.g., appointment portals, forms, FAQs).
- Escalate clinical or urgent patient concerns to appropriate internal teams following established protocols.
- Assist patients with navigating online tools (e.g., appointment portals, forms, FAQs).Adhere to defined response-time expectations and escalation pathways to ensure consistent, safe, and affirming communication.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
- Track social media performance metrics, including engagement, reach, and content effectiveness.
- Prepare monthly analytics reports with insights and recommendations tied to marketing and outreach goals.
- Participate in regular check-ins with Marketing leadership to review performance, adjust tactics, and support continuous improvement.
- Contribute insights from digital engagement to inform future campaigns, messaging, and community outreach strategies.

Work Experience
- Experience working with LGBTQ+ communities, people living with HIV, or other underserved populations strongly preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in social media management, digital communications, or community engagement, preferably with LGBTQ+ or other underserved populations. Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or community health settings is highly desirable.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License (required).
- Must be able to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card during background check process. (Required)
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging diverse groups and individuals.
- Understanding of basic STI and HIV terminology and sexual health language.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and commitment to reducing stigma.
- Comfortable with public speaking and one-on-one conversations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
